HAIR PRODUCTS & TOOLS I'M CURRENTLY USING

Hair products and tools. Hair products and tools for short hair.

As you guys know, I chopped my hair off last month and went even shorter earlier this month. I’m really loving my new hair, and the hair products and tools I recently started using. I’ll be sharing them with you guys in this post!

When my hair was (very) long, I always used this curling wand by BedHead, to wave my hair. The barrel was a 1 1/2 inches and it worked perfectly for loose waves. It was definitely my ride-or-die wand— I used it for 6+ years! I still have the wand, but it’s not a tool I can use on my short hair. The barrel size is just too big for the style I’m going for.

I’m a little impatient when it comes to deliveries, so rather than ordering stuff online, I took a trip to Sephora and Ulta. It was a VERY successful shopping trip and I’m soo happy with all of my purchases. I’ll be linking everything down below. Also, if you’re more patient than me, I will also link what I can from Amazon so you can take advantage of free 2 days shipping if you have Amazon Prime.

My hairstylist, Rachel, used this to style my hair after we went from a lob to a bob. I loved the way she did these subtle messy waves in my hair. I honestly thought it was just a hair straightener until she used it on me, but it’s actually both a hair straightener and curling iron. It has different temperature options and air vents which helps keep the iron cool. I’ve been using it almost every day and it’s been life changing. It works very well and it’s also super cute. I’m really glad I purchased it.

I’ve never used a serum on my hair, just my face, neck, and chest. I never even really thought about using a hair serum. Not sure what clicked, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to use one, especially since I use hot tools. It helps restore damaged hair, protects your hair from heat damage, and smooths your hair out. It smells SO good too— clean and not too strong. My hair feels so soft and silky when I use this. Highly recommend!

Clearly, I’m a fan of JVN products. They are CLEAN products and they all smell amazing. I use the Complete Blowout Styling Milk when I know i am going to dry and use a hot tool on my hair. It protects your hair from heat and even humidity.

I was in the market for a dry shampoo and Dae had just launched theirs! I was lucky enough to find it at my local Sephora because it was selling out fast. I have oily hair and have to start using dry shampoo by day 2. It definitely helps with the excess oils in my hair. I’m still learning how to use it correctly— sometimes I put too much in and it looks like dandruff, lol. Dae also has a brush that helps with getting the dry shampoo into your scalp/hair, but the didn’t have it at Sephora. I’ll order it soon. Oh, and the scent. It’s sort of like their shampoo and conditioner (the pink bottle), so it smells good. It’s a little strong at first but it becomes very subtle after a few minutes.

LOVE this volume and texture spray. It helps keep my waves alive. I like them to look undone but done, lol, and this spray helps me achieve exactly that. It also smells really good. I find my hair isn’t AS oily at the end of the day when I use this too.
