Hi Everyone!

Exciting news… I recently got a promotion (woot woot!!!). It was a long and challenging process, but as soon as I got the call, accepted the job offer, and signed the paperwork, I immediately went into prep mode.

By prep mode, I mean I started preparing for my first day/move into a new office. Since I was leaving the office I have been with for 5+ years, I wanted somewhat of a fresh start. Quite honestly, I also wanted to use shopping as a distraction because I was sad to be leaving my co-workers. Shopping always makes me feel better, lol.

I donated almost EVERYTHING I had in my cubicle and made a list of what I needed to get for my new cubicle. And yes, I only go into the office once a week but I still wanted my cubicle to be cute. I wanted to make sure I had a cute first day outfit (extra, I know lol) so that was on my list too. I figured when it came to the outfit, I would buy things that I could style and wear more than just once or twice.

Of course I went to my favorite store, Target, and then did some online shopping too! I think I did pretty good with the stuff I bought, as a start. After seeing my cubicle and desk on my first day, I have a better idea of what kind of space I’m working with. But like I said, I think what I’ve purchased so far has me going in the right direction.

Here’s what I’ve bought so far...

I know I know, I caved into the trend. These shoes just really go so well with outfits whether you're dressing up or dressing down. They have so many other cute colors, but I figured I'd go with a neutral color to start. BTW, it's crazy these are trending again-- I used to wear these in high school!

These are SO essential if you're an office girly AND if you're a short girly! I'm 5'1 and went with the short option. They're the perfect length. Definitely a staple for office wear. I'm normally a 24 but I went with a 25. Keep in mind the sizing is a little different at Abercrombie. A 24 is considered a double 0 and 25 is a 0. I could have gone with a 24, but I wanted them to be comfy, especially when I'm sitting.

I was at Target and they were having a BOGO 50% off frames sale, so I grabbed a few. I ended up printing pictures of me and James and of course the dogs, at my local CVS store for the frames.

Target always has the cutest planners. I prefer having a physical planner dedicated to just work.

I thought this would be super cute in my cube to hang pictures, cards, important reminders, etc.

Another office girly staple. I ordered mine from Zara. I'm also including a slightly not so expensive option from H&M. A blazer literally elevates any outfit.

I thought these would come in handy for the grid and work documents.

A cute lil' notepad to keep on my desk for quick notes, lists, reminders, etc.
